The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team will host a former AMC rival this Saturday at TRAC. The Prairie Stars will take on Harris-Stowe at 1 p.m.

UIS has two non-conference games before the break, starting with Saturday's contest against the Hornets. The Prairie Stars are looking to get back in the win column after a pair of close losses the last two times out, including a 75-66 loss at Lewis in their GLVC opener.

Harris-Stowe is currently 1-7 on the year, and it has lost five straight, including three in a row by single digits.

UIS and Harris-Stowe were both members of the AMC from 2003-2009. The Prairie Stars were 8-4 against the Hornets in that time, but the two teams split the last eight meetings.
