The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team has its final tuneup before conference play on Tuesday night at TRAC. The Prairie Stars will be hosting Kentucky State at 7 p.m.

UIS moved to 4-1 on the year after a 68-59 victory over Purdue Northwest last Saturday. The Prairie Stars outscored the Pride 21-12 in the final 10 minutes in order to break a tie after three quarters.

Kentucky State has lost three straight after opening the season with a pair of wins in Puerto Rico. In its most recent game, the Thorobreds fell 57-48 against Georgetown College.

These two teams met last year, with Kentucky State winning 64-61. The Prairie Stars shot under 40 percent, and a late comeback attempt came up just short. Tehya Fortune led UIS with 22 points.
