The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team has its first road game of the 2019-20 season this Saturday when it travels to Purdue Northwest for a 1 p.m. contest.
The Prairie Stars are looking to bounce back after their first loss of the season. UIS dropped a 77-66 decision to Kentucky Wesleyan on Tuesday night in a battle of undefeated teams.
Purdue Northwest is 1-4 after a four-point loss on Wednesday at Governors State. It is 0-3 against GLVC programs in 2019-20.
Earlier this season, UIS defeated Purdue Northwest by a 65-52 margin in Springfield, Ill. The Prairie Stars held the Pride to just 33.9 percent shooting.
Tehya Fortune led the team with 15 points, and
Katelyn Rosner had a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
