The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team ends its regular season this week with a pair of home games. The Prairie Stars take on William Jewell on Friday night, followed by a Senior Day contest against Rockhurst on Saturday afternoon.

UIS is in a battle for one of the final spots in the GLVC Tournament. A pair of wins will clinch a trip to East Peoria, Ill. for the third straight season. One win and some help around the league will also earn the program another showing in the conference postseason event.

UIS (18-12, 7-6)
Last week, UIS continued its late season trend of splitting its weekend conference contests. The Prairie Stars lost in three sets at Drury, before rebounding with a 3-0 win against Southwest Baptist.

UIS continues to lead the conference with 2.49 blocks a set. That mark is eighth in NCAA Division II, and helps the team rank 50
th in the nation with a .153 opponent hitting percentage.

Three seniors will be playing their final games at TRAC on Saturday in
Rachel Cobert,
Jailyn Borum, and
Alli Splitt. The trio have played in a combined 333 matches, which include 76 victories and some of the top moments in program history. The UIS seniors have combined for 2,168 kills, 174 service aces, 2,746 digs, 644 blocks, and 2,711.5 points.
About William Jewell (11-19, 4-9)
William Jewell is coming off a pair of GLVC losses last weekend against Bellarmine and Indianapolis. The Cardinals have now lost five straight matches in conference action.

About Rockhurst (25-6, 12-1)
Rockhurst has won nine straight matches, and is now ranked 20
th in NCAA Division II. Last weekend, it swept Indianapolis and Bellarmine to move into sole possession of first in the conference.

Rockhurst leads the GLVC with a .274 hitting percentage, and is second with a .140 opponent hitting percentage. The Hawks are second in kills, third in digs, and fourth in blocks.

Dani Prusha is the GLVC leader with 11.32 assists a set. Karli Reichert is second in the conference with 4.39 points a set, and third with 3.90 kills a set. Jadyn Makovicka is fourth with 4.76 digs a set.

UIS vs. Rockhurst Series History (Since 2007)
UIS is looking for its first win in the series history as Rockhurst is 13-0 against the Prairie Stars. Five of those meetings have taken place in Springfield, Ill. Last season, UIS fell to Rockhurst in five sets in Kansas City, Mo., and lost in four sets in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
