The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team picked up its second win in two days on Saturday with a 4-3 road victory over Lindenwood.
Â
The difference came in doubles action as UIS swept all three matches for one team point. The three UIS doubles teams lost just six games, including a 6-0 shutout by
Maegan Flight and
Steph Reynolds at No. 2 doubles.
Â
That point came out to be huge after the two teams split the six singles matches. Flight won the No. 1 singles match,
Kena Bere won at No. 4 singles, and
Kate Dumstorff was victorious at No. 6 singles.
Â
UIS will be off until Oct. 5 when it hosts Missouri Western at 12 p.m. at the UIS Tennis Courts.
