UIS (7-3) took a 2-1 lead following the conclusion of doubles.

Sam Clarke (10-4) fought to a 9-8 victory against Jonas Bergbom/Naoufal El Idrissi (2-2) in No. 1 doubles. Martinez/Clarke is ranked No. 23 nationally in doubles and ranked No. 3 in doubles in the Midwest Region.

Alex Chan (1-0) secured an 8-5 win against Michele Gaspari/Guillaume Teste (1-1) in No. 2 doubles. The Lions received a point in doubles when Antoine Barraud/Theo Butaeye (2-0) put together an 8-5 victory against

Lindenwood scored a point in singles. El Idrissi (9-4), ranked No. 9 in the latest Central Region singles rankings, posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory against Burgess Hayes (8-7) in No. 2 singles.

For the Prairie Stars, Molloy (10-5) posted a 3-6, 6-2, 7-5 win against Bergbom (3-2) in No. 1 singles, Clarke (12-5) recorded a 6-2, 6-0 win against Gasparsi (5-5) in No. 3 singles and Martinez (11-4) turned in a 6-3, 7-5 victory against Butaeye (5-6) in No. 4 singles.

UIS clinched the match victory before the conclusion of the No. 5 singles match and the start of the No. 6 singles match. Chan held 6-1, 3-3 lead against Barraud in No. 5 singles.
