The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team continued its winning streak on Tuesday night at TRAC in Springfield, Ill. The Prairie Stars won their 13th in a row with a 25-17, 25-19, and 25-14 win over Southern Indiana.

UIS showed off its strengths both offensively and defensively in the match. Offensively, the Prairie Stars had kills on all eight of their first eight attempts of the match. They would finish with a season-high .389 hitting percentage. Defensively, UIS had nine blocks and 45 digs. Southern Indiana hit .117 for the match, including a .064 mark for the final sets.

Alli Splitt led UIS with 12 kills and 14.5 points, and she had a .647 hitting percentage.
Brianna Bush and
Taylor Bauer both had 11 kills, and
Alyssa Hasler had five kills in just nine attempts.
Tiffany Wentworth had 39 assists and just missed a double-double with nine digs. Bush and
Jailyn Borum both had nine digs as well. Hasler had a team-high five blocks, one more than
Rachel Cobert.

UIS improves to 21-4 on the season and 12-1 in the GLVC. The Prairie Stars host one of their biggest matches of the season on Friday night when nationally-ranked Lewis comes to Springfield for a 7 p.m. match.
