AURORA, IL --- The Prairie Stars (6-14) closed the 2016 Mizuno Midwest Crossover with a sweep of Alderson Broaddus University and with the conclusion of the tournament, freshman
Alli Splitt was named to the All-Tournament team.
The Prairie Stars snapped an 11-game losing streak with the win, picking up their first win since September 10
th. Illinois Springfield cruised to three-set victory, winning 25-15, 25-14, 25-16.
UIS totaled 42 kills on the game opposite of just six errors, good for a .486 attack percentage, which is the second highest single game attack percentage in UIS history. The Prairie Stars tallied 20 kills in the first set, 12 in the second, and ten in the third.

Alli Splitt each had eight kills to lead the team while
Lexi Hall dished out 22 assists on the match.
SPLITT LANDS ALL-TOURNAMENT HONORS
In the 36-team field, just 14 players were named to the All-Tournament team --- six from the GLVC, six from the GLIAC and two from the G-MAC. Splitt totaled 38 kills in the three matches, committing just seven errors all tournament. She attacked at over a .500 clip in two of the three matches and at .414 in the other.
Along with the offensive output, Splitt added 17 blocks --- 16 block assists and one solo block.
