SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The University of Illinois Springfield baseball team fell to Southern Indiana 12-3 Sunday afternoon at the UIS Baseball Field.
The Prairie Stars finished the season 22-28 overall and 16-20 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. UIS ended the season in fifth place in the east division standings.
Sunday's game was controlled by the visiting Screaming Eagles from the get-go. Southern Indy scored in the first four innings to take a commanding 11-0 lead. The Prairie Stars got on the board in the sixth inning on a RBI-double from senior

Jake Redlinger (Washington, Iowa) launched his fourth home run of the season to make the score 12-3.
With the win, Southern Indiana clinched second place in the east division standings.
The 2015 season was the second consecutive 20-win season for the Prairie Stars.
