RENSSELAER, Ind. - The University of Illinois Springfield played a shortened match due to indoor court availability and it was not in its favor as hosts Saint Joseph's swept through doubles and took two singles matches for a 5-0 victory in GLVC play.

Santiago Pedraza and Gerard Carpinell came close to getting one point for UIS in doubles play, but fell 9-7 in the No. 2 position.

In singles play,  Hayden Esker grabbed four sets from his opponent, but it was not enough to overcome Saint Joseph's.

The Prairie Stars are back in action on Tuesday against Fontebonne before hosting Millikin in a make-up match on Thursday at Washington Park.
