Game one on Sunday went back and forth, eventually going the Flyers way as the visitors hung on for the 5-3 win.

In the top of the next inning, the Flyers responded with four runs of their own to take over the lead, 5-3. Lewis used a hit, an error and a hit-by-pitch to load the bases with nobody out. Biedrzycki got the next two batters out to bring up Lewis third baseman Kurt Becker with two outs. Becker drove an 0-2 pitch over the center fielder's head to drive in all three runs. The Flyers tacked on another run later in the inning to make the score 5-3.
UIS left three runners on base in the final two innings but couldn't bring any around to score.
