SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Sophomore
Cole Buehnerkemper was part of the two points that the University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team took from McKendree as the Bearcats won, 7-2, on a windy Friday afternoon at Washington Park.
Buehnerkemper and senior
Hayden Esker came back from being behind in the No. 1 doubles spot. The Effingham, Ill., duo responded to win 9-7.
In singles action, Buehnerkemper then picked up a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the No. 2 singles spot. His partner almost took another point for UIS as Esker took the No. 3 singles match to three sets.
