LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Despite some closely contested matches, the University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at Bellarmine on Friday afternoon.
In No. 2 singles,
Cole Buehnerkemper grabbed the lone win with a 6-1, 4-2, victory as his opponent was forced to retired. In the No. 5 position,
Pradeep Ravisankar almost picked up a victory, but fell in the third set, 6-4, 5-7, 10-8.
The doubles competition was tight as well as UIS lost the No. 1 and No. 3 positions by just two sets each.
UIS returns to GLVC action on Saturday against Indianapolis at noon at Washington Park.
