INDIANAPOLIS - Senior goalkeeper Paige Polonus (Plainfield, Ill.) stopped a season-high 10 shots Friday evening but an Indianapolis goal in overtime pushed the Greyhounds past the University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team at Key Stadium.

How It Happened

• The hosts came out firing from the first whistle, forcing three saves from Polonus in the first eight minutes.
• The Prairie Stars nearly found the breakthrough in the 26th minute, but freshman Annie Valenti's (St. Louis, Mo.) header was stopped by UIndy's Emma Crenshaw. Junior Nikki Auble (Plainfield, Ill.) tested Crenshaw just three minutes later but the UIndy keeper was up to the task again.
• UIndy outshot the Prairie Stars 9-3 in the second half, but neither team could find the mark.
• In the extra period, Polonus made her 10th save in the 95th minute, but the hosts eventually got the goal they were after, scoring in the 96th minute to win the game.
