LEBANON, IL -Â Three second half goals by McKendree put the game out of reach for the University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team, 4-0, Wednesday night at Leemon Field.

UIS Top Performers- Sophomore Jack Coombes (Auckland, New Zealand) and junior Kanye Sayon (Ghana) led the team with two shots each.
- Sophomore Kyle Hamilton (Bethalto, Ill.): stopped a game-high five shots while between the pipes for UIS
How It Happened- UIS was on the defensive in the early stages of Wednesday's game as McKendree struck with a goal in the eighth minute from Felipe Thompson.
- The Prairie Stars were able to create several scoring opportunities but failed to put any shots on target in the first period. Hamilton stopped three shots after McKendree's early goal to keep the score at 1-0 into the break.
- UIS came out on the attack in the second half, threatening to score with three straight corner kicks. Junior Mac Leverenz's shot was saved by the McKendree keeper.
- The hosts eventually got back on the attack and won a pair of corner kicks in the 68th minute. Two minutes later McKendree struck again to double its advantage. Goals in the 76th and 88th minutes closed out the game for the hosts and gave McKendree a 4-0 victory.
