SPRINGFIELD, IL – The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team welcomes no.18 Lewis and Wisconsin Parkside to The Recreation and Athletic Center for a GLVC match-up this weekend. The Prairie Stars face Lewis on Friday, Oct. 23rd at 7 p.m. On Sunday, Oct. 24th UIS takes on Wisconsin Parkside at 3 p.m.

Last weekend, UIS participated in the Mizuno Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament. The Prairie Stars started the weekend with a 3-0 victory against Malone. UIS dropped the next two games to Walsh and Northwood to end their weekend with a 1-2 record.

LAST TIME- In 2014 the Prairie Stars lost to Lewis twice, both with scores of 3-0. UIS also faced Wisconsin Parkside twice, losing the first game 3-0 and the second game 3-2.
SCOUTING LEWIS- Lewis is 21-1 overall this season and ranked 18th in the nation.
- The Flyers sit in first place in the GLVC with a 9-0 record.
- Sophomore Aly Schneider is tied for 4th in the GLVC in blocks (90)
- Junior Nicole Yuede ranks 4th in the GLVC in digs (379)
- The Flyers have 5 players with triple digit kills, led by Senior Alexis Davito (227).
SCOUTING WISONCSIN PARKSIDE- The Rangers are 15-6 on the season with a 6-3 GLVC record.
- Junior Rebecca Roembke leads the GLVC in kills (308).
- Junior Lauren Hickson leads the GLVC in assists (825).
- Wisconsin Parkside is third in the GLVC in hitting percentage (.230).
