BELLEVILLE, IL - The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team cruised to a 6-3 win at Lindenwood Belleville on Thursday afternoon.
Junior
Cole Buehnerkemper and
Logan Burgess Hayes grabbed an 8-4 win in the No. 1 doubles spot, while the No. 2 duo also walked away with a win.
In singles play,
Christian Timm was the first to walk away with a 7-6 (5), 6-4 in the No. 6 spot. Classmate
Sam Clarke then won in the No. 3 spot, 6-1, 6-3 against Dennis Arnold. To secure the victory, Burgess Hayes walked away with a 6-1, 6-3 win in the No. 2 singles position.
UIS wraps up its fall season against Lindenwood (Mo.) on Friday, Oct. 9.
