CHICAGO, Ill. - Senior Cassie Wolfe (Plainfield, Ill.) led the University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team with nine points against the University of Illinois Chicago. The Flames topped the Prairie Stars 61-44 in the exhibition at the UIC Pavilion on Sunday.

Wolfe finished with nine points and a team-high eight rebounds in 31 minutes of play. Eight of the nine players that played for the visitors scored at least two points in the game.

Junior Jessica Warren (University Park, Ill.) added eight points on 4-of-8 shooting and seven rebounds for the Prairie Stars. In the second half, UIS outscored Illinois Chicago 22-21, holding the hosts to just 32 percent shooting in the period.

Turnovers hurt UIS on Sunday as the Flames forced 23 UIS giveaways, resulting in 31 points. 

The Prairie Stars are back in action at home on Wednesday, Dec. 3 against Oakland City at 7 p.m.
