UIS Athletics West is home to six main softball fields, with an additional four auxiliary fields.
Field #4 serves as the official home diamond for the Prairie Stars. It features a perfectly measured 200-foot fence across the outfield, a revitalized infield installed in 2015, and convenient power access directly behind home plate.
Each diamond is equipped with a crushed limestone infield, ensuring faster recovery from rain delays, and offers bleacher seating for spectators. Many fans find that bringing a light folding chair, a cozy blanket, and a large umbrella makes for the ultimate game-day experience, rain or shine.
