Senior guard Megan Bergerud (Virginia, Ill.) is the December Star of the Month after becoming the first player in UIS women's basketball history to score 1,000 career points.  On December 3rd at the Recreation and Athletic Center, the senior scored a game-high 24 points to give her 1,007 career points.  Bergerud helped the Prairie Stars to a 3-2 record in the month of December while averaging 17 points, five rebounds and three assists per game.  She currently ranks in the top-ten in scoring (16.3 ppg) in the GLVC.
