Men’s Golf Team Ties for 11th at SVSU Spring Invitational

The UIS men's golf team competed at the SVSU Spring Invitational in Lexington, Ky. over the weekend, a tournament showing which was highlighted by a stellar first round.
Tournament Recap

The Prairie Stars tied the relative to par program-best score of 287 over the first round
UIS ranked T4 out of 21 teams after 18 holes
The Prairie Stars carded a 308 team score in round two on Sunday to finish T11 in a field of mostly in-region opponents
Alex Seibal and Daniel Edwards finished in the top-50 with respective scores of 146 and 148. Brady Wilson and Julien Babineau were T52, each totaling 151 strokes for 36 holes. Tom Bumann rounded out scoring for UIS with a total score of 156
UIS was seventh at the tournament in par 3 scoring (3.28) and sixth in par 5 scoring (4.58) The Prairie Stars averaged 4.38 on par 4s
Alex Seibal was one of six golfers at the tournament with two eagles
