Talon Supak (Washington, Ill.) followed up his day one score with an even-par 72 to help the University of Illinois Springfield men's golf team finish fourth place at the UIS Island Getaway Tuesday morning.
The Prairie Stars maintained their fourth place spot on Tuesday, posting a score of 311 to finish the tournament with a final total of 621. North Alabama claimed the tournament title with a score of 581. GLVC-foe Missouri St. Louis finished third with a 596.
Supak carded a 148 after his second-round 72. Senior
Jacob Wherley (Ozark, Mo.) also fired an even-par 72 on Tuesday, ten strokes better than his day one score. He finished in a tie for 14th place.Â
Junior
Kent Gregory (McLeansboro, Ill.) and sophomore
Marc Cox (McLeansboro, Ill.) and
Nathan Goecks (Lannon, Wis.) lost strokes from their first round scores, finishing with totals of 157, 165 and 171, respectively.
The Island Getaway is the final tournament on the Prairie Stars' fall schedule. The team returns to action in the Spring.
