Cody Kother is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Illinois Springfield men’s and women’s soccer programs.
Kother’s duties at UIS include on-the-field coaching and overseeing the team’s fitness and while coordinating all aspects of daily training.
As a player, Kother spent four seasons at Bradley where he was a member of the Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament Team in 2004. He also earned Bradley’s Coaches Award in 2004 and won a pair of varsity letters.
Kother played professionally for the Des Moines Menace and finished second on the team in points and was squad’s leader in goals during the 2005 postseason.
Along with his coaching duties, Kother is a personal trainer at Fitness Together and Complete Care in Springfield.
