The Illinois Springfield men's cross country team is set to participate in the Bradley Intercollegiate on Friday, Sept. 19. The event will take place at Detweiller Park in Peoria, Ill., with the men's 8K race scheduled to begin at 5:15 p.m.
The Prairie Stars will be fielding a partial squad for this meet, providing an opportunity for underclassmen and others on the team to gain valuable race experience. This strategic approach follows the team's recent success at the Prairie Stars Invitational, where newcomers to the team made a strong impact.
The Bradley Intercollegiate, hosted by Bradley University, is a notable event that brings together over 20 teams, offering a competitive platform for developing runners. GLVC teams in attendance include Truman State, Maryville, Missouri-St. Louis, McKendree, and Quincy. The historic Detweiller Park course presents an excellent setting for these athletes to hone their skills.
This event provides a great opportunity to support the UIS men's cross country team early on in its fall season.
