10/5/2023 2:30:00 PM

The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball program has released its 2023-24 game schedule, which offers twelve opportunities to see the Prairie Stars play at TRAC.

The schedule features an exhibition against Indiana State and two tournaments early in the season. UIS will open its season against the Tiffin Dragons on Nov. 10 at the Purdue Northwest Crossover, where they will also meet Hillsdale on Nov. 11.

The first home game of the season is a non-conference matchup against Southwest Baptist on Nov. 18. UIS will then go on the road to meet Rockhurst in a non-conference game on Nov. 22, and Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 27 ahead of the start of conference play.

The Prairie Stars' GLVC schedule consists of 20 games, 10 at home and 10 away. UIS will play Maryville in St. Louis, Mo. on Nov. 30 to start its GLVC slate, followed by Missouri S&T that Saturday. The Stars will then return home for two more GLVC matches before winter break.

UIS will play three more games in December, two at the Florida Southern Terrace Hotel Classic in Lakeland, Fla., then a New Years Eve matchup at TRAC versus Lake Superior State.

UIS will only play GLVC opponents for the remainder of the season once they start the new year at home on Jan. 3 versus the Drury Panthers. Drury went undefeated in league play and won the conference tournament for the seventh year in a row last season.

The Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament will take place in St. Charles, Mo. on March 7-10. UIS looks to return to the tournament after advancing in 2021-22, but missing the tournament in 2022-23.
